This event has now passed, but you can listen to a recording of our discussion here.
A conversation led by writer and maker Alison Britton OBE to explore Windswept Baby: Ceramics, Writing, Art
We talked about how the collaboration began, and the part that writing plays in Bethan’s practice. There was a reading from writer Luke Turner with discussion unpicking what it means to ‘respond’ to a museum object with new work.

Artist Bethan Lloyd Worthington and writers Lucy Biddle and Amy Pettifer led an afternoon of readings and discussion about writing in response to objects, and making in response to text. The event was an open discussion punctuated by readings. We took in ekphrasis, poetic and literary interiors, the haphazard ways in which words inform the making of artworks and the infinite meanings that haze around museum objects.
The event has passed, but you can read the texts we wrote here.
