“A word fishing for what is not a word”:
Writing, Reading and Making Objects

DATE AND TIME
Sat 4 August 2018
14:00 – 16:30

LOCATION
Gallery 220
Sackler Centre for Arts Education
Victoria & Albert Museum
Cromwell Rd
London
SW7 2RL

Join artist Bethan Lloyd Worthington and writers Lucy Biddle and Amy Pettifer for an afternoon of readings and discussion about writing in response to objects, and making in response to text.

The event will be an open discussion punctuated by readings. We’ll take in ekphrasis, poetic and literary interiors, the haphazard ways in which words inform the making of artworks and the infinite meanings that haze around museum objects.

There will be a chance to see (and hear) the display Windswept Baby: Ceramics, Writing, Art in Gallery 220, V&A and time for drinks and a chat afterwards.

This event is free, but numbers are limited so booking is essential. We hope you can join us.
